The Case
The “Sibirskiy Bereg” company was planning an entrance onto the German market of snacks: crackers and sea snacks. The majority of consumption of these products occurs as a snack with beer. In light of this, a decision was made to combine two product types under the brand “Beerka”. At that moment, the brand had already been formed and possessed a clear graphic identity.
The Assignment
To develop a visual brand conception for the line of crackers in the realms of the existent “Beerka” brand identity. Establish a visual dilution of cracker and sea snacks, while saving the identifiers of the new design.
The Solution
The existing visual conception of the brand «Beerka», asked a very rigid framework for transforming the design to another type of package and a fundamentally different product. In order to save the foundation of the visual brand identity, the newspaper like composition of the packaging was kept, yet a bright and attractive product zone was added to the design. This addressed many key issues: established a graphic dilution of the two products, provided a clear color and product navigation system, as well as demonstrate the appearance of the product to the consumer, compensating the lack of a transparent window.
