A refined collection of biscuits, created for the centenary of the Pekar (Baker) brand The Pekar brand, founded in 1913, is one of the oldest in Russia. Currently, the brand has Confectionary factories N.K Krupskaya, part of the holding Orkla Brands. On the eve of its centenary the Baker Company developed a line of exquisite premium cookies. TASKKIAN was tasked with the development of a visual concept and design for the packaging of a collection of premium cookies. SOLUTIONThe Pekar brand presented a collection of traditional European baking, namely various types of cookies that are popular in different European countries. The first stage of the launch of the brand was comprised of two collections: Italian and Danish. The basis of the visual concept of the line was a modernist style that served several purposes: it reflected both the rich history of the Pekar brand and the cultural values of the northern capital, and it served as a tool for the creation of a premium brand image. The creative team at KIAN undertook a large-scale cultural studies research: deeply studying cultural references of the countries represented in the collection, on the basis of which they designed illustrations that successfully reflect traditional motifs.
